Inspired by the continuous trend for gold in home décor, design, fine fragrance and fashion, Yankee Candle introduce the Gold Collection. With only thoughtfully selected fine ingredients, each product is uniquely designed to let you experience pure luxury in your home through the essence of the world’s rarest ingredients in perfumery. Yankee Candle asked Aspect to create an extremely ‘luxe’ video to show off each of the Gold Collection fragrances to encourage consumers to buy in store or online.
Gold. It’s dramatic, luxurious, incandescent. Coupled with darkness, light and delicate touches, can bring a whole new experience of opulence and glamour to any home. The creative challenge was to convey the essence of each fragrance through sight and sound, as the consumer won’t be able to smell them. Our approach centred on gentle, controlled camera moves revolving around each of our set pieces. Dramatic lighting and infinite black environment conveys a sense of luxury and allure whilst ingredients are created with minimal props and design within the studio environment to convey the fragrance notes within each candle. This approach moves away from a traditional Yankee Candle video. Using a studio environment and highly stylised shots, rather than a relatable lifestyle/home environment.
